Immediate Auto-Deletion

Uploaded audio and video files are permanently erased from server memory immediately after your transcript is generated. We never retain your source media.

No AI Model Training

Your private recordings, podcasts, and meeting notes are never used to train public machine learning or OpenAI Whisper models.

Client-Side Extraction

Whenever possible, audio extraction occurs locally in your browser via the Web Audio API, so high-resolution video frames never leave your computer.

1. Information We Collect & How We Use It

vdoscript operates under a strict principle of data minimization. When you use our free web platform:

  • Uploaded Audio / Video Content: Files uploaded to the Upload tab or YouTube URLs supplied to the YouTube extractor are processed in volatile memory by our Whisper engine solely to convert the spoken audio track into text. Once transcription concludes, the temporary files are immediately unlinked and destroyed.
  • Live Microphone Input: Speech audio streamed via your browser microphone is processed live. No audio copies are archived on our persistent storage arrays.
  • Server Logs: Like virtually all web servers, we temporarily record standard non-personally identifiable log information including client IP address, browser type, referring URL, timestamp, and HTTP status codes to prevent denial-of-service abuse, detect operational errors, and compute anonymous platform throughput statistics.

2. Google AdSense, DoubleClick DART Cookies & Third-Party Advertising

To keep vdoscript completely free without subscription paywalls, we display advertisements provided by Google and other third-party ad networks. Please review the following mandatory disclosures regarding advertising cookies:

Third-Party Vendor Disclosures: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to vdoscript or other websites across the Internet.
